Challenges & Requirements

  • Keep it under 45 seconds.

  • Create two versions: one to encourage users to join the waitlist and another to announce the app’s availability on the App Store and Google Play.

  • Optimize the video for multiple social media platforms.

  • Clearly showcase how easy and hassle-free it is to find a job and get paid with GIVE ME JOB.

The Concept

The commercial follows our protagonist—a young guy eager to take his girlfriend out, but there’s a catch… he’s broke. Just as his plans start falling apart, he finds the perfect solution right in his hands: GIVE ME JOB, the app that connects users with nearby job opportunities based on their skills.

With just a few taps, he lands a barista gig five minutes away. No lengthy applications, no waiting—just instant work at his fingertips. He books the shift, grabs his bike, and heads to the coffee shop.

Upon arrival, he scans his QR code with the manager and—boom!—he’s hired on the spot. In no time, he’s making coffee, impressing customers, and acing his shift. As soon as he’s done, his payment lands instantly in his in-app wallet. But that’s not all—a notification pops up with more job opportunities nearby. With GIVE ME JOB, work is always just around the corner.

Fast. Simple. Work on your terms.

The Journey Behind the Commercial

Bringing a product to life isn’t just about development—it’s about storytelling. When working on GIVE ME JOB, I knew I needed a compelling commercial that not only explained the platform’s purpose but also connected emotionally with our audience. This wasn’t just a feature walkthrough; it was an opportunity to create something impactful, memorable, and inspiring.

🎬 Brainstorming & Scriptwriting:
We kicked things off with a brainstorming session, throwing around ideas until we had a solid concept. After crafting the first draft of the script, we refined it with team feedback, tweaking every detail until it was just right.

📅 Setting the Date:
Once the script was locked in, we picked a date, gathered our gear, and prepared to bring our vision to life.

In this behind-the-scenes moment from the GIVE ME JOB commercial shoot, I (wearing the black t-shirt) share a lighthearted exchange with the crew. The atmosphere is buzzing with creative energy as we set up the lighting and camera gear in a beautifully designed café. With warm hanging lights above and an intricate tiled floor below, the space perfectly complements our vision. This snapshot captures the essence of collaboration—where preparation meets passion, and every detail contributes to telling a powerful story.

Within the realm of artistic illustrations and penned creations, the term avant-garde represents a category of art, a pioneering triumph, and the imaginative artist, generally marked by its visual originality, albeit frequently encountering immediate disapproval from the dominant art society of the time.

🎭 Discussing the script and finalizing execution methods.

🎥 Making sure the angle is just right — supporting my team every step of the way.

⏳ After a full day of filming, it was time for post-production and final touches.

💬 We added on-screen chat bubbles to show the ongoing conversation between the protagonist (played by me) and his girlfriend.

💡 The "AHA" moment — represented by a light bulb — illustrates the protagonist discovering the perfect solution right in his hands.

🎬 A fast-cut sequence highlights the protagonist's struggle to get ready for the job. The store manager’s frustration is clear, but in no time, the protagonist ties his hair, throws on an apron, and is good to go!

📲 The key moment—the QR code scan with the manager. Just like that, he's hired!

👨‍🍳 The protagonist finishes his shift, feeling proud of his work.

☕ The store manager inspects the coffee and is thrilled with the result.

💸 Relaxing with a well-earned coffee, the protagonist watches as his payment instantly hits his account—along with a fresh job opportunity notification.

🎯 The final screen encourages viewers to visit the website and join the waitlist.
